Aroma Totem can incorporate restrained illumination between or beneath individual modules. Rather than turning the object into a lamp, the light can visually separate each layer after dark. A thin illuminated line between modules reveals the architecture of the stack.

At night, the illuminated seams can reveal exactly how Aroma Totem has been built. Two modules create one pattern. Three modules create another. Four layers create a taller rhythm of light. Change the stack and the visual effect changes with it.
